So I’ve finished the first quilt for my etsy shop (with more pics)!
Also, I think I gotta thing for star quilts now. This was my first one and I’m totally happy with how it turned out.

This has been the most time intensive quilt of my life so far ever. I started this beauty 6 months ago, hand stitching over 300 hours, and finished it a week after Christmas (note: getting better at finishing projects on time!)

Sometimes I take on craft projects for the insane challenge. I just finished my first hand stitched quilt! It’s a gift to my cousin who recently had a little baby girl. I admit, I have a hard time finishing a project that takes more than 4 hours, but it was totally worth it (and only a month late!)
Also, I’ve updated the about section and started an Etsy store, HomemadeHomeDecor!

I made some pretty easy quilted pot holders. These are a great way to try out your quilting skills. I used a basic pattern but you could really jazz it up. Here are a ton of ideas.
5 layer sandwich – the top is the quilted square, next is an aluminum sprayed fabric which is heat resistant, 2 regular quilt batting and the last one is the back side of the pot holder.
Yup, I had to try them out right away! So I made some cranberry muffins.
