Handmade Heirloom

This has been the most time intensive quilt of my life  so far ever.  I started this beauty 6 months ago, hand stitching over 300 hours, and finished it a week after Christmas (note: getting better at finishing projects on time!) Pin It

  1. Prettyyyyy! Did you use a sewing machine for any parts of it, or was it all hand sewn?

Thanks! I only used a machine for the binding, the rest is done by hand. I’m not sure how to attach binding without a machine.

Hi Jennica, this is Cori. The quilt is gorgeous!! I have a few handmade quilts at home that I purchased, didn’t have the skill to make them myselft but I love and appreciate all the work that goes into handmade quilts. Enjoy your treasure, it will get softer and more beautiful as the years go by.

I believe it is called the wedding rings quilt. Very well done, I have made a few quilts, but only one total hand stitched.
